  • Description: A cadet (Christos Politis) accepts an assignment to take a cache of gold to his homeland in Crete in order to hide it from the Germans, who are advancing in the northern part of Greece. There, with the help of his father (Fernando Sancho), his sister (Giota Soïmoiri) and a Red Cross nurse (Maria-Pia Conte) -who eventually betrays them- he delivers the gold to a Greek anti-sub cruiser. The cadet is killed, and his sister starts an affair with a British adventurer (Giorgos Tzortzis) who fell in love with her and decided to stay in Crete to fight by her side against the Germans.
